Literature up close and personal
Literature up close and personal

A number of classes from grades 7 to 12 have attended a variety of events this month in connection with the 19th annual International Literature Festival in Berlin. Visiting the festival has become a yearly tradition in the SESB, with students attending readings, Q&As with internationally renowned authors, and book signings. Students have the unique opportunity to experience literature in new and exciting ways and meet professional authors, such as Elizabeth Acevedo, André Aciman, Bernard Beckett, Barry Jonsberg, and Erin Entrada Kelly, some of whose works they’ve even studied in English class!

The International Literature Festival takes place in numerous impressive locations throughout the city, including the Hebbel am Ufer Theater, the silent green Kulturquartier, and the newly opened James-Simon-Galerie in the Museumsinsel. Hnn
