The 7th grade pupils of the SESB at Schiller Gymnasium had the opportunity to celebrate their two cultures today as they were invited to celebrate the Queen's visit. Together with the primary schools at the Charles-Dickens and the Quentin-Blake the pupils were excited about when the boat would arrive. They were very brave putting up with the rather British weather with great stoicism. Some pupils warmed up by having a competition with the 1st graders of the Charles Dickens - who could cheer the loudest! Others practiced their European identity by singing Frere Jacques in three languages together with the primary school.
The pupils appreciated the opportunity to show their links between Germany and the United Kingdom - they are the bridge of mutual understanding for the future!
