Eight tenth-graders represented Schiller at the first Model United Nations conference at Dreilinden Gymnasium(3MUN). The 3MUN conference was held over two days on the 1st and 2nd of November 2019. The theme up for debate was “Preventing International Conflicts by Strengthening Diplomatic Relations”. The delegates were up to the challenge and worked assiduously within their assigned committees. Some of the delegates had to research and defend a point of view on the Cuban missile crisis of 1962, while other delegates looked at the ongoing Ukraine crisis and the rising conflict in the Sea of Azov. Both topics were an excellent opportunity for students to analyse a conflict and work as a team to find solutions.
